Ambassador Jonathan T. Fried joins the World Trade Board

The World Trade Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Ambassador Jonathan T. Fried, Coordinator, International Economic Relations/Coordonnateur des Relations économiques internationals, Global Affairs Canada/Affaires mondiales Canada, to its panel of experts.

Mr Fried has a distinguished history in senior global trade roles, including: Coordinator, International Economic Relations (early 2017), Chair of the WTO’s General Council (2014), Chair of the Dispute Settlement Body (2013), co-Chair with China of the G20’s Trade and Investment Working Group (2016) and Canada’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the WTO. He has also held esteemed positions at the IMF and NAFTA, is a member of the World Economic Forums’s Global Futures Council and the Steering Committee of the e15 initiative, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Colombia Center on Sustainable Investment and the International Advisory Board of the Central and East European Law Institute.
