Stanislav Shmelev

Stanislav Shmelev is an ecological economist, chief executive of Environment Europe Ph.D.Limited. He has a Ph.D. in Ecological Economics and Mathematical Methods (2003), is a LEAD Europe Fellow (2007), and was named one of the top four most promising young economists in the world by the Handelsblatt Newspaper and the Institute for New Economic Thinking. He is a member of the TRIUM EMBA 2021 cohort at the London School of Economics and Political Science, New York University Stern School of Business, and HEC Paris. Dr Shmelev is focusing on macroeconomic sustainability, sustainable cities, circular economy, environmentally extended input-output modeling, multicriteria decision aid, environmental policy issues, renewable energy and impact, and ESG Investment.
