James W. Fraser
James Fraser joined JPMorgan Chase within the Global Trade organization in July 2019, as the Global Head for Structured Solutions. James joined JPMorgan from Citigroup, where he spent 14 years, most recently serving as a Managing Director and North American Trade Head for the Treasury and Trade Solutions Group. In addition to his responsibility for the strategic direction and continued growth of the franchise, James designed and executed the complete organizational restructuring of Trade’s coverage model, collapsing client facing functions across four trade product pillars to a singular team aligned by industry.
James held several significant roles at Citi prior to his most recent position, including Global Head of Trade Finance Risk. As Global CRO for TTS Trade, James was responsible for all material transaction approvals and oversight of the product risk governance framework. As a member of the Global Trade Executive Committee, he was a key contributor for the execution of strategic product expansion.
From 2009 to 2015, James spent time in both London and New York as a Senior Transactor within Citigroup's restructuring team. He had rejoined Citigroup in 2009 after three years with Z Capital Partners, where he was an Investment Analyst managing distressed corporate credit investments for the firm’s Special Situations Fund. James began his career at Citigroup within the corporate banking organization.
