Iris van der Velden

Iris van der Velden is since February 2018 leading IDH’ Learning and Innovation team, working on topics like smallholder inclusion, gender, mitigation of deforestation, living wage & working conditions and responsible agrochemical management. She joined IDH 4 years ago as a “Senior Manager Learning & Innovation – Smallholder Inclusion” , specialized in working on smallholder related topics like smallholder finance and making services for smallholders more sustainable and effective. She has developed the “Service Delivery Model” methodology from scratch and is now upscaling it through a new initiative.

Before joining IDH, Ms van der Velden was managing for 8 years the Asian portfolio of Rabobank Foundation with a team in the Netherlands, India and Indonesia. The portfolio contained around 140 projects with an annual budget of EUR 8 – 9 million.She worked with a number of Corporate Clients of Rabobank to make their supply chains more sustainable.
