Alisa DiCaprio

Alisa DiCaprio is the Chief Economist at R3, a leading blockchain technology firm based in New York City. She oversees R3's research and market intelligence functions, providing economic advice on developments in blockchain, digital assets, Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC), trade and payments. She was recognised as one of the ""Top 20 Women in Crypto"" in 2023, and has a PhD in International Development from MIT.

Alisa contributes to R3's interactions with the public sector and industry partners. Her research focus includes issues of technical innovation and inclusion in the global digital economy, and she has published multiple papers on topics such as trade finance, foreign policy and digital assets.

She has worked in various countries and regions, including Cambodia, Chile, Finland, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand and the US.
