Chief Operating Officer, Euler Hermes Aktiengesellschaft Federal Export Credit Guarantees
Philipp Rossberg is a Partner in PwC’s Finance & Regulation Advisory Practice and serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the German Export Credit Agency (jointly managed by EulerHermes Aktiengesellschaft and PwC). Prior to his return to the German ECA, he headed up Citi’s Export & Agency Finance activities across Russia/CIS & Turkey and managed the Bank’s relationships with German-speaking exporters and Export Credit Agencies globally. Before joining Citi, Philipp was in charge of building and developing the relationships of JPMorgan with Export Credit Agencies (ECAs), Multilateral Agencies (MLAs) and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) in the EMEA region. Prior to that he held different senior positions within the German ECA.
Over the last decade, Philipp has worked extensively with a broad range of ECAs, MLAs and DFIs around the globe in the context of structuring and executing agency-supported debt and trade finance transactions across various industries with a particular focus on developing countries and emerging markets. He has also been a frequent lecturer and speaker on international trade, trade and export finance as well as the establishment and financing of foreign direct investments. Philipp holds a German degree in business administration with a special focus on International Management and Foreign Trade. He has lived and worked in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.
